Gen-X: Grew up analogue, pivoted into digital.

Born in 1973, I am Gen-X.

I grew up "analogue" but, early on, became very interested in things digital, quite contrary to my dad's very "hands-on" approach to life as a car mechanic.  My parents had bought me, which my sister also made use of, an Atari game console for those December family vacations at the "South Coast" when, at time, it rained incessently and we could not go out to the beach or do any of the usually fun outdoor activities.  This sparked that digital interest and, not many years later, I was given a Commodore 64 on which I started learning to code in BASIC - I was still "single-digits" years old at the time.
